Ovary Position

HypogynousPerigynousEpigynous
Hypogynous - with the perianth and stamens attached directly to the receptacle, ovary superior (does not have hypanthium).

Perigynous - the perianth and stamens united by a hypanthium, ovary superior. 

Epigynous - with the perianth and stamens attached to the top of the ovary, ovary always inferior, if the hypanthium is fused only to the lower portion of the ovary it is usually referred to as half-inferior.
