Tellima grandiflora (Pursh) Dougl.                    Fringe-cup

Flowering stems up to almost 100 cm high from a decumbent rhizome; basal leaves cordate, orbicular, several lobes each lobe dentate, 5-10 cm braod; petioles hairy, 10-20 cm long; flowering stems bearing 2 or 3 nearly sessile reduced leaves; racemes loose, 6-35 flowered; calyx to 8 mm long lengthening to 11 mm at maturity; petals pinkish to red, pinnately divided into filiform sections; fruit a capsule; common in moist woods.
