Plant
mostly glabrous, 3-10 dm tall; leaves biternate; leaflets ovate, acute, thin,
coarsely dentate, 2-7 cm long; basal leaves several, petioles long; cauline
leaves 1-3; umbels 2-9-rayed, small, peduncles short at flowers, elongating in
fruit; pedicels mostly 1-2 cm long; involucels wanting; stylopodium more or less
conic, as high or higher than wide; fruit 16-20 mm long, bristly-hairy on the
ribs, carpels beaked; in woods, common.
