Lentibulariaceae                                 Bladderwort Family

Small aquatic plants with a single flower on a scape or a few-flowered raceme terminal on a scape or peduncle; calyx 2-lipped; corolla deeply 2-lipped, the lower lip larger and 3-lobed with a bearded palate and a nectiferous spur at the base; stamens 2, anther sacs grow together into one; style short or none, stigma 1-or 2-lipped; leaves sometimes none, when present either in a basal rosette or along floating stems; when leaves are submersed they are dissected and produce numerous small bladders which entrap small creatures.
