An
escaped plant, more or less prostrate about 22 cm high (or long) with leaves
3-5-deeply-lobed, the main segments more or less dissected, light green, thin,
ovate-orbicular; peduncles 2-flowered, petals 7-10 mm long, bright crimson;
calyx slightly pilose, sepals strongly bristle-tipped; carpels cross rugose,
maybe glabrous or puberulent; moist soil, somewhat shady sites, in western
Washington and western Oregon.
