Differs from B. orthoceras with basal leaves; having 10-20 lateral lobes; cauline leaves with 6-16 linear lobes; petals 6-8 mm long; siliques 4.5-8 cm long, 1.5-2 mm broad; an escape from gardens where it is grown for salads; waste places.
