Stems 5-15 cm high; leaves many, lancolate, hairy; flowers 2-5 in terminal or lateral cymes; sepals 3-6 mm long; petals from shorter than the sepals to 1 1/2 times as long; shaded, open woods from lowlands to the mountains.
