Agoseris glauca (Pursh) Raf.  var. dasycephala (Torr. & A. Gray) Jeps.       Pale Dandelion

Whole plant white hairy; leaves lanceolate, 5-30 cm long, 1-25 mm wide, entire to pinnatifid; involucre 2 cm high, bracts imbricate in 2 or 3 series, outer ones shorter; flowers yellow, drying to pink; achenes 5-12 mm including the beak though beak is variable perhaps depending on the variety; pappus abundant, white, bristly hairs; in open places in the lowlands to the mountains.
