Descriptions are adapted from wording found at the sites
Journal
of Undergraduate Sciences
JUS is a peer reviewed scientific journal dedicated to original
research done by undergraduates and high school students.
Published by students in collaboration with professors, it
contains articles in a wide variety of fields, from astronomy
to zoology.
JUS welcomes submissions from any student at the undergraduate
level who is engaged in research in any scientific or science-related
discipline. Articles are reviewed by the JUS academic board,
with advice and guidance from faculty and graduate students.
The editors determine the suitability of an article for publication
based on the comments and recommendations of the academic
board.
Journal
of Young Scientists
JYI is a peer reviewed scientific web journal dedicated to
the presentation of undergraduate research in science, mathematics,
and engineering. It publishes the best submissions from undergraduates,
with an emphasis on both the quality of research and the manner
in which it is communicated. Students working with their faculty
advisors review the work of their peers and determine whether
that work is acceptable for publication in JYI.
Caltech
Undergraduate Research Journal
The Caltech Undergraduate Research Journal is written for
undergraduates everywhere. Original work, entertaining writing,
stunning production. In its premiere issue, CURJ presents
an exciting composite of reviews, research, and art. Remember
why you enjoy science in the first place. CURJ accepts submissions
from any undergraduate in the world.
Journal
of Undergraduate Study and Independent Research
JUSIR is a science journal accepting submissions from undergraduates
and select high school students, allowing them to display
their high-quality independent research to a wide audience.
Papers in any field within the natural sciences, psychology,
engineering, and social sciences will be considered.
Furman
University Electronic Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics
The Furman University Electronic Journal of Undergraduate
Mathematics is an online-only journal designed to encourage
undergraduate research in the field of mathematics. Its online
nature allows quick publishing of mathematics papers, giving
undergraduate students an opportunity to see their work published
prior to their graduation.
The Journal accepts papers of significant mathematical interest
written by students and containing work done prior to obtaining
a Bachelor's degree. Papers of all types will be considered,
including technical, historical, and expository papers. Typically,
papers will have been written as part of a summer research
experience or school project. Any paper submitted by an undergraduate
must have the approval of a sponsor, a full-time faculty member
willing to endorse the student's work. The sponsor is largely
responsible for ensuring the quality and veracity of the student's
work. The sponsor's name and school will appear with the paper
along with the student's name. The editorial board of the
Journal reserves the right to reject any paper.
Morehead
Electronic Journal of Applications in Mathematics
The Morehead Electronic Journal of Applicable Mathematics
(MEJAM) is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal sponsored
by Morehead State University. It publishes the work of undergraduate
students in any discipline. Papers will typically be the result
of summer research programs, internships, or other school
projects.
MEJAM accepts papers that are outside the realm of the typical
undergraduate curriculum and that emphasize the applicability
of mathematics while maintaining significant mathematical
interest. Papers may be historical, expository, or completely
original in nature but must adhere to strict academic standards
and should explore some aspect of the applications of mathematics.
National
Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse
Any unpublished scientific research that was conducted when
the author was an undergraduate may be submitted, including
empirical studies and literature reviews. Interdisciplinary
approaches are encouraged. A registered faculty member must
agree to sponsor the manuscript.
